WDO Ranking Systems - Men & Women
Dear Friends & Colleagues,
This is the new Point System for the B.I.C.C. is, as per table below.
| Men's Winning DAV | Win 3 Points | + 1 Bonus Point |
| Lost 3 - 1 | + 1 Bonus Point | |
| Lost 3 - 2 | + 2 Bonus Points | |

| Lost 3 - 1 | + 1 Bonus Point | |

Matches played in the Welsh Inter-County Championships will still be recognised by the awarding of "2" points for each registered win - as no record is available to consider players averages in these matches it is not possible to introduce a variation to this award.

Super League Policy - Player Selection
Dear Colleagues,
RE: 'MINIMUM' SELECTION BASIS - FROM SUPER LEAGUE TO COUNTY PLAYER.
In the recent Welsh Full Council meeting a discussion took place on the 'minimum' basis used in each County to determine the eligibility of players for selection from Super League to the County Players Squad.
It was determined that there was a wide variation in the requirements adopted by each County from as little as 'attendance at 1 out of 3 of all available S/L matches BUT NOT REQUIRED TO PLAY' - up to 'playing in 2 out of 3 of all available S/L matches'.
Currently the higher requirement is only being implemented in 3 Welsh Counties.
After further discussion on the wide variations that has been determined it was resolved that a basis would be found and implemented in all Welsh Counties from the start of the 2000/2001 BICC Playing Season. The following 'minimum' basis was unanimously adopted by the meeting.
For players to be eligible for County Selection they must have played in a 'minimum' of 2/3 of all available S/L matches before being selected to play in the County Squad.
In exceptional circumstances, which is at the discretion of the County Selection Committee/Panel, this minimum may be reduced to 1/2 of all available S/L matches.
It was felt that this would strengthen the required commitment to Super League matches by players in those County organisations that had not implemented what was thought to be a realistic 'minimum basis'.
In future those players being nominated to be selected to play for Wales must be able to show that they have met the 'minimum' basis required to play for their County, as well as the minimum basis required to be eligible to play for Wales.
Please take steps to implement this WDO ruling into your County Rules/Regulations at your forthcoming County Annual General Meetings, and once adopted will you confirm that this has taken place.
